Fuelly.com is a fuel mileage tracking website with a social media aspect. It allows you to keep track of your mileage for multiple cars and compare how your fuel mileage stacks up against other users on the site. It’s really a simple concept and works perfectly. The site also allows users to post tricks and tips regarding how to get better fuel mileage. Reading through the list has been helpful in making me aware of simple life hacks to save money at the pump. (Check them out here!)
For example, even as helpful as the iPhone app Gas Buddy is on a road trip for finding the cheapest fuel, unless you get extremely good fuel mileage, it isn’t worth the 3-4 mile drive to get 1-2 cent cheaper fuel at a different gas station. My only gripe thus far is they don’t have any mobile apps. They do have an SMS number you can text with your miles per tank and it will log a fill-up entry on your profile that makes it easy to calculate your mileage at the pump or while on the go.
